The project involved the construction of a 400-meter quay wall to support marine terminal operations, including heavy vehicle and cargo handling. Initial works included seabed dredging to prepare and stabilize the foundation area for subsequent marine construction. Following foundation preparation, large-scale reinforced concrete caissons were fabricated, launched, and precisely positioned in sequence to form the structural core of the quay. The caisson-based system ensures high load-bearing capacity, long-term durability, and resilience under demanding operational and environmental conditions.

his technically challenging project was carried out within a fully operational port environment, requiring meticulous planning and phased execution. The scope included seabed excavation, construction of an underwater embankment to provide a stable foundation, and the placement of precast caissons - each weighing approximately 7,200 tons - as core structural elements of the new cruise terminal.
