Dredging

The project entailed capital dredging of approximately 450,000 cubic meters of seabed material within a fully operational port, a process requiring meticulous planning and coordination to avoid disruption to daily port traffic and ongoing terminal operations. The scope included deepening and reshaping the basin and access channels to accommodate larger vessels, under strict environmental and navigational constraints. One of the key challenges was the safe and efficient transport of dredged material to an offshore disposal site located 21 nautical miles from the port, requiring continuous marine logistics, weather monitoring, and compliance with maritime regulations.

Maintenance dredging was carried out at the Fishing Terminal in Larnaca, Cyprus, involving seabed dredging to restore required depth levels for safe vessel operations. The dredged material was carefully transported and disposed of at approved offshore dumping sites, adhering to all environmental and regulatory standards.

This project was successfully executed by our Marine Engineering and Constructions department, demonstrating our commitment to maintaining critical marine infrastructure with efficiency and environmental responsibility.

As part of port maintenance and navigational improvement works in Nafplio, Greece, the project involved the execution of seabed dredging operations to achieve the required depth levels for safe vessel access. The dredged material was subsequently transported and dumped at designated offshore disposal areas, in full compliance with environmental and maritime regulations.
