Brajdica Container Terminal
Place of Works
Year of Completion
2012
Project Category
The project concerned the construction of a 550-meter gravity quay wall berth at the Brajdica Container Terminal. The quay wall was formed using precast concrete blocks, which served as the primary structural elements, providing both strength and durability. Prior to installation, extensive seabed excavation and underwater embankment works were carried out to ensure a stable and secure foundation. In addition, a toe protection layer was constructed along the base of the structure to mitigate the effects of wave action and prevent seabed erosion, contributing to the long-term resilience of the quay.
Scope of Works
- Construction of 550 m Berth (Gravity Quay Wall)
- Installation of Precast Concrete Blocks
